4 tips to add more colour to your wardrobe

Is your wardrobe full of black, white and grey clothing? want to add colour to your daily outfit? Follow these 4 tips to help you brighten up your wardrobe and even change your mood.

1. Pair colours

Before you start purchasing colourful pieces of clothing you will need to know what colours go well together. To start we would recommend going with analogous colours, analogous colours are next to each other on the colour wheel and share a common hue. Once you find a colour you want to try, take a look at the colour wheel, for example if you want to try green you will see teal is next to it. You can use these colours to add to your colour palette. You can also use complementary colours which are opposite each other on the colour wheel.

2. Add brighter hues into your workout clothes

Wearing bright colours for your workout outfit is a great was of giving you an extra boost of energy and will also uplift your mood, which is always needed when you need a little motivation to get your workout going. Wearing crazy print sport leggings or solid neon sport bras will transform your look from simply looking sporty into feeling like sporty spice.

3. Embrace patterns

Experimenting with patterned clothes is a really easy way to introduce more colour into your wardrobe. Find a pattern that you love and that makes you smile, such as floral, swirls, geometric, what ever the pattern it will surely have lots of colour on it.

If your looking to wear more than one pattern, be sure to match busy patterns with quieter ones and make sure they are different sizes.

4. Go monochromatic

Once you have gotten more comfortable with colour, and you are feeling bold, why not go all-in and try a colourful jumpsuit or pair a colourful top with pants in a similar hue.

Colours can enhance your mood and make you feel more confident. Play around with colours even if you think a colour doesn't suit you, there are many options available.
